STRIKE: Boxing & Kickboxing

Learn Boxing & Kickboxing in a 1-day Accreditation Workshop

 

OVERVIEW:

Learn how to structure and instruct Boxing and Kickboxing Sessions to groups and individuals in this one day workshop.

Long recognized as one of the best training methods for fast fitness gains, stand-up Pad Work is a simple way to guide clients and class participants through a high-energy workout that will energize and motivate them.  Our STRIKE course is designed to launch you confidently into Pad session design and delivery.

ACCREDITATION:

  • Fitness Australia | 8 CECs
  • Qualifications for Pad Training Insurance

PRE-REQUISITES:

  •  There are NO pre-requisites to enroll in the STRIKE course  - you do not have to have your fitness or martial arts qualifications completed - however we strongly recommend you have these in place, together with insurance, prior to teaching others

SUITED TO:

  • NEW to Pad Training - you will learn all the basics of safety, session planning, effective coaching and delivery to give you confidence to teach Pad Sessions in Boxing and Kickboxing

EQUIPMENT:

  • STRIKE will teach you how to safety use Focus Pads and Kick-shields - still the best value for money pad training equipment you can invest in

LEARN:

  • Safe Pad Training Basics:
    • Using Focus Pads and Kick-shields
    • How to wrap wrists using traditional boxing wraps
  • Hand & Leg Strikes from Kickboxing & Thai Boxing:
    • Jabs, Hooks, Elbows and more
    • Kicking moves such as Roundhouse Kick
    • Defensive moves including Duck & Weave for greater core engagement
  • Prep & Coaching Skills, incl:
    • Understanding the difference between Warm-up, Workout, Blitz & Conditioning
    • Choosing between Speed & Power for sessions
    • The MMA Fitness 3-part Coaching Model to help people understand what you are teaching faster & more easily
    • How to offer intensity variations for different fitness levels
    • Bringing moves together in sessions to create plans
